A razor gang is to be called in to fix the huge deficits at our Polytechs. The parent body, Te Pūkenga has been ordered to appoint four consultancy firms to figure out what courses are needed and how many staff and buildings are needed to provide them. It follows forecasts showing the mega institute's polytechnics faces four years of financial losses and a $118 million, deficit this year.Education correspondent John Gerritsen spoke to Charlotte Cook.
