About Dark Times Academy
Dark Times Academy aims to offer interesting courses grounded in the liberal and useful arts. We want to offer a bright spot in the night--a place for affordable adult and community learning. And a lifeboat for teachers longing for a reminder of why they teach in the first place. Our guiding values include care, authenticity, and grace for ourselves and each other.
We are making a place where students can explore the world with curiosity and a sense of wonder--guided by teachers who care about their subjects and their students.
Our classes are taught using a hybrid model that combines live Zoom instruction with pre-recorded short lectures, moderated Signal groups for each class, and curated bibliographies of resources.
