Avoid lock-in and be productive with open source tools

‍This TechCrunch article describes a bunch of open source productivity tools that you might find helpful in your work. There are two on this list that I use extensively. NextCloud provides file syncing, calendar, editing, email, and many more collaboration tools via a wide range of plugins. Jitsi is a free video conferencing application. You can use their free service, pay them to manage one for you, or self-host. With Zoom adding an AI companion to all who do not opt-out next month, those interested in privacy (legal or business reasons included) other options may be needed.
