School Strike 4 Climate Aotearoa -- Friday 5th April

This Friday, in locations all around Aotearoa, students will be striking for the climate. If you can join in one of the strikes, please do. The more people turning out the bigger the splash and media attention.

A robust, sufficiently funded public research system is necessary to combat climate change in Aotearoa New Zealand. My colleagues at New Zealand Association of Scientists are organising a presence in support of the Wellington strike.

If you want to encourage the government to properly fund the public research system, I have made a couple of A2 Posters you can download and print out. They are here. For these posters, I focus on 2% GDP that has been consistently reported as necessary for the sector to function since at least the Beattie Report in 1986. See the excerpt below.
